Pune, September 28, 2026: Škoda Auto Volkswagen India Private Limited has commenced production of the new Škoda Slavia at its Chakan plant. The launch comes ahead of the festive season and builds on the sedan’s established presence in the Indian market, with nearly 80,000 units sold to date.
The new Slavia combines European engineering with features tailored to Indian customers, offering enhancements in design, technology, comfort and safety. Company officials said the start of production further reflects India’s importance to Škoda Auto’s global manufacturing and business operations.
